Job Summary
Design and configure Connected Systems and Integration Objects to consume PeopleSoft web services, architecting complex Custom Data Types and Record Types that map accurately to Oracle database schemas. Develop end-to-end process models triggering actions in PeopleSoft for employee onboarding, financial approvals, or procurement updates. Create Appian Web APIs to push real-time data updates back into Appian and build intuitive SAIL forms aggregating data from multiple systems. Implement secure handshakes between systems using OAuth 2.0, SAML, or certificate-based authentication. Requires 5+ years of Appian expertise, advanced SQL skills, and a Public Trust or DoD Secret Level Security Clearance. Fully remote position available to residents in select states with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Appian versions 24.x or higher
- Advanced SQL skills (PL/SQL preferred) for optimizing queries against Oracle databases
- Expert knowledge of REST/SOAP, JSON, and XML for cross-system communication
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must possess a Public Trust or Department of Defense (DOD) Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification
- Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 baseline certification)
- Travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Appian Data Fabric for unifying disparate data sources
- Background in Java or JavaScript for developing custom plugins if standard connectors are insufficient
- PeopleSoft Familiarity: Understanding of PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and the ability to work with PeopleSoft technical teams to define service requirements
- Experience working in a Center of Excellence (COE) or an Agile/DevOps environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering secure, high-quality solutions
