Job Summary
Senior API Engineer to design and deliver high-volume, resilient Java/J2EE solutions using Spring and RESTful APIs. Role involves defining solution architecture, cloud-native services with 12-Factor principles, Azure and OpenShift, containerization, and messaging (Kafka, MQ, ESB). Collaborate in Agile/Scrum with product managers, clients, and engineering teams; contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps to enable secure deployments; perform database integrations and performance tuning across SQL/NoSQL stores; apply design patterns and algorithms to improve reliability and maintainability; travel ~10% for on-site activities; role requires in-person work at multiple US locations. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in engineering teams
- 5+ years building RESTful APIs
- 4+ years object-oriented programming
- 5+ years with Java and Spring Frameworks
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps
