Job Summary

Lead the design and implementation of antenna, radome, and radar cross section (RCS) ranges and chambers for the Effector RF Design Team. Define, analyze, simulate, and evaluate requirements for test equipment while working with interdisciplinary teams including thermal, structural, and systems engineering. Oversee the implementation of new ranges and chambers, manage service suppliers, and define requirements to validate compliance with government personnel and programs. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ requires a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance to obtain an INTERIM clearance prior to start. The position supports modernization efforts, technology roadmaps, and general innovation within the aerospace and defense sector.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Ability to obtain special program access after start
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience testing antennas or radomes in a chamber or test range
  • Experience with the operation of an antenna, radome, and/or RCS chamber/range
  • Experience with antenna and/or sensor measurement theory and range operation
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Ability to obtain special program access after start
  • This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ

Desired Qualifications

  • Master of Science (MS) or PhD in electrical engineering
  • Significant experience simulating and/or estimating the effects of propagation, reflections, and scattering on an antenna under test (AUT) in an anechoic chamber
  • Measurement of hardware for RCS
  • Significant experience specifying, building, and validating antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and GRASP
  • Experience designing and testing conformal antennas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple sources
  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
  • Demonstrated ability to put forth and drive technical execution plans
  • Knowledgeable of management processes, such as Earned Value
  • Experience presenting in technical reviews
  • Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing algorithms
  • Experience designing datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and/or GPS antenna systems
  • Experience being a Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead
