Job Summary
Senior Ansible Automation & Platform Engineer to architect and evolve the Ansible Platform (AAP) across the enterprise, driving governance, scalability, and self-service automation. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining the platform roadmap, execution environments, and integration with Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps, and event-driven systems; building reusable automation frameworks with roles, collections, and modular playbooks; integrating automation with ServiceNow ITSM/CMDB; advancing AI-assisted automation with Agentic AI for generation, validation, and troubleshooting; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure operations and enable enterprise adoption. Key skills include advanced Ansible expertise, Terraform/IaC tooling, Linux, scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell), cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) automation, Kubernetes and container orchestration, and familiarity with security guardrails and governance standards. This role may be eligible for relocation benefits and requires no immigration sponsorship from GM.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12+ years in Architecture, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Expert-level proficiency with Ansible (playbooks, roles, collections, Jinja2, modules)
- Hands-on experience designing and operating Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Strong experience with Terraform, Chef, or other IaC tools
- Linux engineering background and configuration management expertise
- Experience integrating automation with ServiceNow (CMDB, ITSM, workflows)
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP automation
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Certifications: RHCE, RHCA, Terraform Associate, AWS/Azure Architect
