Job Summary
Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK, implementing offline-first functionality for reliability in low-connectivity environments. Integrate with REST APIs, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and third-party mobile SDKs while collaborating with UX/UI designers to deliver production-ready features. Ensure app performance, security, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards by working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to advocate for code quality and maintainable architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK
- Experience with Android Studio, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), REST APIs, and third-party mobile SDKs
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, offline-first design, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows
- Experience working in Agile environments and delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade applications
- Clear and proactive communicator
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Comfort working with legacy systems and complex technical landscapes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and reliability
- Ability to operate effectively in regulated and safety-critical environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android apps
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose or modern Android UI frameworks
- Experience with analytics, monitoring, and mobile app testing frameworks
