Job Summary
Senior Android Developer responsible for redesigning features and prototyping new capabilities, focusing on UI design principles to make apps intuitive and user-friendly. Contribute strong programming skills to develop innovative, consumer-facing mobile products using Android SDK and Java. Requires background in object-oriented software development, building Android applications with Java, and experience with multithreading, memory management, and caching mechanisms. Open to partial remote work. Location: Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or software development experience
- object-oriented software development experience
- building Android applications in Java using Android SDK
- mobile application development experience (Android, J2ME or Blackberry)
- Experience in understanding large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable
- Experience with Java language and related frameworks
- Experience with Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices
- Experience with caching mechanisms
- Strong coding abilities and experience with Java and Android SDK
- Open to partial remote work
