Job Summary
Senior Android Developer to translate designs and wireframes into high quality Java/Kotlin code, build and maintain high-performance Android applications, optimize performance, identify and fix bottlenecks, maintain code quality and automation, with familiarity in React Native/Cordova/Ionic/Flutter as advantageous. The role leverages Android SDK expertise, REST APIs, UI design principles, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning to deliver robust, scalable mobile solutions in Group-IB’s cybersecurity-focused product suite.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries for common tasks
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud messaging and push notifications
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
