Job Summary
Senior Analytics Engineer responsible for end-to-end data pipelines and semantic modeling to empower product, finance, marketing, and sales decisions. Scope includes designing pipelines in BigQuery and Omni, building dashboards and analyses, and shaping the semantic layer so both humans and AI agents can query the business reliably. You’ll own analysis end-to-end from data modeling through dashboards and monitoring, collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business questions into analyses, and contribute to architectural decisions and tooling as the data function scales. The role emphasizes moving between analyst and engineer work, shaping the data function from the ground up, and leveraging AI (Claude/Omni) to enable trustworthy self-serve analytics. You’ll join as a second data-team hire, reporting to the Head of Data, with a compensation range of $180,000–$208,000 annually and remote-friendly/hybrid work in a San Francisco, CA context.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, or a hybrid role
- Fluent SQL
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse
- Experience with Python or TypeScript
- Semantic modeling experience in Omni, LookML, Cube, MetricFlow, or similar
- Experience designing data pipelines and ETL
- Strong stakeholder skills and ability to communicate findings clearly
- Experience analyzing product feature launches and defining success metrics
- Comfortable switching between analyst and engineer roles
- Experience working remotely or in a startup environment
