Job Summary
Own the analytics infrastructure for finance products end-to-end, managing data ingestion, reporting, and activation while ensuring high data quality. Lead data projects from ingestion to reporting, overseeing scope and resolving ambiguity, while ingesting, cleaning, and organizing raw data for the team. Liaise between Business, Engineering, and Data to translate requirements into schema design, promote software engineering best practices, and shape the broader data model. Build ELT and reverse ETL pipelines using Airflow and Python, leveraging SQL and dbt for performant code and data governance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of work experience as an analytics engineer or full stack data analyst
- experienced in SQL, with an emphasis on writing performant code
- data modelling expert, and have designed schemas before at previous organizations, ideally using dbt
- strong comprehension of data warehouses and the modern data stack
- track record of delivering projects, including datasets that were used to drive key business outcomes
- self-serve by building ELT pipelines and reverse ETL pipelines using off-the-shelf tools, or simple DAGs in Airflow leveraging python
- experience leveraging tools for data governance, data quality testing, and documentation
- clearly communicate about technical subjects to non-technical people, and behave as a liaison between Business, Engineering, and Analytics
