Job Summary
Senior Analytics Engineer at Gozem responsible for building and maintaining scalable data infrastructures and pipelines across multiple business lines. Own end-to-end data lifecycle (ingestion, pipelining, transformation, governance), design and implement batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage and open-source tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow). Collaborate with analytics squads and data scientists to build reusable, production-ready datasets and features, support data lakehouse/data marts scalability, assess feasibility and architecture for analytics requests, and establish data quality frameworks. Interact with stakeholders to ensure actionable, accurate insights. Requires strong data profiling/engineering skills with GCP and open-source processing frameworks, Linux/Docker/CI/CD, SQL, Python, experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, and fluency in French and English. Preferred Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field; minimum 5 years in data/analytics engineering; hybrid flexible work location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Proficiency in Python (mandatory) and SQL (advanced)
- Working knowledge of Node.js
- Experience with modern data stack practices and data governance
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)
- Experience with open-source data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Airflow)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse)
- Ability to design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data processing
- Strong documentation, testing, reproducibility mindset
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- French & English (professional proficiency)
- CI/CD for data and data observability
- Git version control
- Ability to work in a fast-growth environment
