Job Summary
Own and evolve our data warehouse architecture, data models, and quality standards with a focus on scalable, robust, and future-proof design. Leverage dbt for modular modeling, tests, documentation, and refactoring to establish best practices. Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of a Redshift-based warehouse; develop new data pipelines and ensure clean orchestration with Airflow; contribute governance, observability, and data quality standards to enable trusted business insights. Bring several years of experience in Analytics/ Data Engineering, with strong SQL, dbt, data modeling, and proficiency with cloud data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake) and Airflow. Demonstrate an ability to think in terms of data products and actively shape governance, quality, and transparency of our data platform. Remote-friendly Berlin-based role with relocation support to Germany or Austria.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a comparable role
- Strong SQL skills
- Expertise with dbt
- Expert in data modeling, complex transformations, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or comparable technologies
- Experience with Airflow, monitoring, and stable operation of data workflows
- Interest in governance, quality, and transparency of a data platform
