Job Summary
Build data warehousing strategy and core dimensional models in the Data Warehouse using dbt, Airflow, and Bigquery. Design transformation pipelines and data aggregation layers, then implement scalable models housing complex datasets. Partner with analysts, scientists, and engineers to support reporting needs in Looker, working closely with Banking, Product, Marketing, Finance, Credit, and Risk teams. Build data integrations and robust infrastructure with engineering staff while implementing frameworks for reconciliation, quality management, and trust in transformed data.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience working as a data engineer or analytics engineer
- Implemented dimensional models and summarized data marts in the data warehouse
- completed at least one full Data Warehouse development cycle
- Fluent in building data transformation pipelines, dimensional models and data marts
- using one or more ETL or Transformation tools
- Proficient in dimensional modeling concepts
- 3+ year of experience building meaningful metrics, reports and dashboards in BI/reporting tools
- Strong expertise in SQL and performance tuning
- Experience working with services in cloud environment(s)
- Programing experience in Python, Scala or other language(s)
- Focus on data quality, integrity and security
Desired Qualifications
- (Preferred: dbt)
- (Preferred: Looker)
- Experience modeling data in dbt and Looker
- Experience working with Financial services companies
- Experience working with one or more MPP databases
- (Prefered: Bigquery, etc)
- Experience in D2C domains
