Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain complex, production-grade data models in Databricks focused on performance and reliability. Lead requirements sessions with Finance and Product stakeholders to translate business goals into robust, production-ready solutions for analytics and AI use cases. Solve live and historical data integration challenges to eliminate conflicting metrics, while modeling CDC sources for full audit histories. Implement automated quality checks, monitoring dashboards, and consistent naming conventions within Unity Catalog. Champion software engineering best practices including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to drive speed of execution. Act as the primary technical bridge between analysts, data scientists, and platform engineers to define uniform, company-wide metrics and resolve inconsistencies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
- Production-level experience with SQL
- Production-level experience with Python
- Production-level experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in fast-paced scale-up environments where roles have broad scope and require working across domain boundaries
Desired Qualifications
- Working experience with Databricks (or PySpark)
- Experience with frameworks like dbt, Kimball or Databricks to structure data models
- You thrive on self-leadership
- You understand how technical definitions (like principal balances or DPD) affect lending decisions and communicate fluently with non-technical stakeholders
