Job Summary
Conduct valuation analyses of illiquid investments, including debt and equity securities, across diverse industries and geographies. Build, modify, and utilize financial models for estimating business enterprise and equity valuations using discounted cash flow, market multiples, and precedent transactions. Perform comprehensive research on securities, industries, competitors, and capital markets to develop thorough asset understandings. Review financial statements, investment memoranda, and transaction documents to prepare clear valuation reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Support valuation conclusions and respond to auditor inquiries regarding valuation analyses. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, timely completion of assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience in valuation, financial modeling, or a related analytical role
- Demonstrated experience constructing and reviewing financial models
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Progress toward CFA / ASA / ABV designation or relevant professional certification
- Experience in valuation, financial statement analysis, or related areas
- Experience working with market data sources such as S&P Capital IQ
- Prior experience in a professional services, accounting, or valuation firm
