Job Summary

Senior Analyst, Turkey role focusing on deep expertise in Turkish politics and political economy to translate fast-moving developments into actionable guidance for corporate decision-makers and financial market asset allocators. Produce concise client-ready deliverables (memos), deliver in-person and virtual briefings, and build/maintain a differentiated source network. Track elections, judiciary dynamics, macro policy and institutions influencing central bank policy, fiscal policy, trade and capital flows, and Turkey’s external posture (EU, Russia, Middle East). Analyze policy-driven changes in the business operating environment and coordinate with regional colleagues across the MENA practice; travel occasionally (primarily to London and the GCC, with potential trips to New York and Tokyo). Preferred locations include Istanbul or Ankara (Turkey) with alternate locations in London, Washington DC, or New York City on a hybrid schedule (four days in-office). Language requirements include native or near-native Turkish and fluent English.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience (journalism, finance/markets, consulting, research, or related fields)
  • Turkish expertise
  • Native or near-native Turkish
  • Fluent professional English
  • Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing work
  • Network in Turkey and/or ability to build one quickly
  • Ability to translate political developments into implications for markets and corporate strategy
