Job Summary
Oversee trade compliance and international logistics activities to ensure adherence to all applicable international trade laws and regulations. Support the development and maintenance of trade compliance policies and procedures while collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement strategies and optimize operations. Partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and other departments to align compliance with business objectives, ensuring imports meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations including HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin declarations. Conduct internal audits, review free trade agreement qualifications, and maintain operational KPIs. This role requires a U.S. Customs Broker License and five years of trade compliance experience. Salary ranges from $86,934 to $118,210. Hydro Extrusions is a global aluminium extrusion business with a focus on safety and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Trade Compliance related role
- U.S. Customs Broker License
- In-depth knowledge of trade compliance regulations and operational processes
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in international business or supply chain preferred
- General knowledge of Purchasing procedures
- Familiarity with Incoterms
- International Logistics experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop and deliver training material relevant to Purchasing, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Research & Development (R&D), etc.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and develop compliance strategies
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance issues
- Highly motivated, self-starting, results oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Beneficial to have experience in Microsoft Access, Power BI and SharePoint
