Job Summary
Senior Analyst, Quantitative Software Engineer to build and scale the proprietary ALM projection platform used for Bermuda EBS valuation, BSCR capital calculation, and Embedded Value reporting. The role focuses on high-performance modeling infrastructure, scalable cloud-native data pipelines (AWS services and Snowflake), and UI components for model configuration and results. Responsibilities include developing projection engines, designing parallel/distributed execution frameworks, implementing performance-critical numerical software, automating regulatory templates, building/maintaining cloud pipelines, centralized data hub, and CI/CD workflows. Requires strong software engineering fundamentals and willingness to learn within a finance domain; insurance domain knowledge is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale software systems in a production environment
- Strong OOP programming skills in Python/C++/C#
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Experience with GPU computing using CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing frameworks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
