Job Summary
Senior Analyst in Underwriting Analytics to support Property underwriting decisions for large corporate and industrial clients. You will lead analytical capabilities within Property underwriting, analyze portfolio performance and profitability drivers, develop tools and decision support for current and emerging risks, and act as a quantitative sparring partner to underwriters and Heads of Line of Business. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and complex client cases, with opportunities to shape how analytics are used in underwriting for large industrial risks, and to coach/raise analytical standards across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in analytics related to Property underwriting for large corporate / industrial clients
- Solid understanding of insurance financials, pricing principles, and portfolio profitability
- Proven ability to structure complex data and translate analysis into clear, actionable insights
- Experience acting as a senior analytical sparring partner to business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex findings clearly
- Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, Python, R, Power BI or similar
- Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues
- Willingness to collaborate with underwriters and management on cross-LoB analytics
