Job Summary
Procure parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment for engineering labs while supporting proof-of-concept and proof-of-function prototypes. Evaluate engineering procurement needs to determine effective strategies ensuring compliance with policies, and act as the primary liaison for the material and supply organization. Partner with program, operations, engineering, and planning teams to guide supply chain processes, review materials, and recommend suppliers aligned to program objectives. Analyze complex supply chain challenges to develop solutions that prioritize available material and supplier constraints impacting program schedules. Utilize SAP and Ariba systems to manage procurement execution and drive material outcomes across assigned commodities and programs. This hybrid role in Cedar Rapids, IA, typically requires 2-4 days onsite per week.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- University Degree
- minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP systems in a supply chain or procurement environment
- Experience utilizing Ariba or similar systems in a supply chain or procurement environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage detailed work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Experience coordinating supply chain activities across multiple sites or organizations
