Job Summary
Senior Analyst, Marketing Investment & Planning responsible for planning, tracking, and optimizing marketing spend to maximize ROI. Key duties include developing annual/quarterly budgets, managing forecasts, implementing spend governance (approvals, vendor onboarding, PO/invoice processes, accruals), and creating executive budget status dashboards. Partners with Marketing, Procurement, and Finance to ensure contract compliance, correct coding, and audit readiness; identifies variances, risks, and opportunities; supports Marketing ROI analyses (MMM, CAC, CPL, ROAS) and business cases for incremental investments; drives process improvements in budgeting workflows and tooling; trains marketers on budget best practices and spend governance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in budgeting/FP&A with direct marketing spend exposure; proficiency in Excel and Power BI; experience in a matrixed environment and cross-functional collaboration. Salary range $100,450 - $157,850 plus benefits; location: Bethesda, MD; on-site role with no explicit remote arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years in budgeting/FP&A/financial operations with direct marketing spend exposure
- Demonstrated experience managing large, multi-channel marketing budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive reporting
- Experience with financial systems and budget/reporting tools, such as Workday, Excel, and Power BI
