Senior Analyst, Lease Accounting

Job Summary
Senior Analyst Lease Accounting (SALA) will lead client-focused lease accounting implementations and support for ASC 842 and IFRS 16, including design, configuration, data migration/onboarding, workflow, and training for the SaaS application. Responsibilities include assisting live clients in achieving optimal lease accounting and reporting, responding to client questions and support tickets (with emphasis on lease accounting journal entries and accounting reports), analyzing and documenting defects and product limitations, prioritizing enhancements with Product and Engineering, helping clients navigate product defects while deployments are addressed, coordinating with internal teams and client users to promote best practices, validating releases against client expectations, contributing to product documentation and training materials, and supporting sales/marketing with technical questions. The role requires SME knowledge of LeaseAccelerator for both equipment and real estate leases, ability to learn related nuances (e.g., tenant allowances, CAM charges, leasehold improvements), and strong Excel/ERP integration capabilities. Remote work from India is referenced as a workable location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent qualification
- Experience implementing or working with enterprise lease accounting software from a lessee perspective
- Understanding of ASC 840, IAS 17, ASC 842 and IFRS 16 for lease classifications
- Ability to prepare monthly journal entries, monthly roll forward reports, quarterly maturity schedules, and monthly account reconciliations
- Experience gathering data on new leases and loading data into LeaseAccelerator
- Ability to apply technical accounting research to business transactions in ASC 840/842, IAS 17, IFRS 16
- Understanding integration options with ERP modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Tax systems)
- Knowledge of Time Value of Money calculations and amortization schedules
- Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP systems with emphasis on financial accounting policies and controls
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work from a home office or remote location with reliable high-speed internet
