Job Summary
Senior Analyst – Laboratory Information System (LIS/LIMS) responsible for evaluating hardware/software applications for new LIS solutions, overseeing daily LIS/LIMS operations, managing vendor tickets/projects, and driving project design, testing, and implementation plans. Key duties include configuring test codes and reporting criteria, ensuring data capture and transmission from analyzers to LIS, coordinating system interfacing, maintaining SOPs, training staff, validating billing modifications, and acting as a liaison among laboratory, vendors, and IT. Requires a degree in a related science/IT field and 3+ years’ experience with LIS/LIMS, electronic medical records (SCC Soft, Epic, Clinisys PowerPath, Beaker), and strong project management and communication skills. This is a full-time role with standard Mon-Fri hours, on-call and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related clinical/biological science
- At least 3+ years of progressive experience in laboratory information systems, clinical laboratory operations, and/or informatics & IT
- Experience with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records, to include but not limited to SCC Soft, Epic, Clinisys PowerPath, and Beaker
