Job Summary

Senior Analyst for Statutory Financial Reporting responsible for compilation of NAIC reporting and audited statutory financial statements, ensuring disclosures meet NAIC instructions and Statutory Audit Disclosure Checklist; analyze and report on quarterly financial results, support NYSDFS inquiries and regulatory surveys, prepare quarterly fluctuation reports, deliver ad hoc reports, maintain controls across financial reporting, and collaborate with offshore teams to ensure timely, accurate deliverables. Role requires cross-functional partnership with Treasury, Legal, Actuarial, and Controllership, plus interaction with external auditors (PwC). Familiarity with Statutory Accounting Principles and Workiva is preferred; CPA or active pursuit of CPA is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting
  • Experience with statutory accounting
  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA (preferred)
  • Experience with Workiva
  • Knowledge of Insurance Statutory Accounting
  • Knowledge of the annuity insurance and/or reinsurance industry is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors
