Job Summary
Lead the month end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing GL reconciliations, and analyzing accounts to ensure billing accuracy. Analyze variances across client P and L accounts to identify trends and risks, while conducting SOX reviews of billing files and invoice requests. Serve as the Finance point of contact for client Account team members and cross-functional partners, responding to internal and external information requests. Identify and implement continuous process improvements across accounting and billing workflows, and support internal and external audit requests with complete documentation. Contribute to special projects and cross-departmental initiatives as needed while maintaining a high level of independence and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 plus years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
- Comfortable interfacing with employees across multiple offices and functions via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership mindset, and problem solving ability
- Strong team player who is flexible and willing to support extended hours during close cycles when required
