Job Summary
Collect and analyze risk and performance data from cash flow models, investment committee memos, financial statements, and market research. Set up risk models, risk scoring, and risk profiles in Excel while monitoring key risk indicators against limits. Prepare stress test scenarios at asset and portfolio levels and interpret results. Produce risk reporting and disclosures for investors, regulators, and internal stakeholders. Assist with operational risk management, sustainability risk reporting, and external valuation reviews. This role reports to the Director Risk Management within Hines Luxembourg Investment Management (AIFM), part of the European Risk Management Team managing over €14 billion in AUM. The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in real estate, PE risk, or investment management, with strong Excel skills and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- University degree
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Highly numerate
- Strong skillset in representing the concepts of real estate investment accurately and efficiently in Excel form
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite, most particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good communication skills with confident fluency in written and spoken English
- Attention to and care for detail in all work
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work to a high standard to meet deadlines
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communicator – able to ask right questions and actively listen
- Culturally sensitive
