Job Summary
Optimize end-to-end strategy by leveraging advanced data analytics to independently derive insights and develop business, risk, or growth strategies across products and geographies. Monitor portfolio performance and macroeconomic trends to proactively adjust operational strategies, while partnering with Engineering and ML teams to design scalable risk, fraud, or growth models. Collaborate closely with Product, Legal, and Compliance to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into analytical policy and product design recommendations. Oversee the development and execution of analytical frameworks to ensure new launches align with risk appetite and local regulations, while building repeatable AI-assisted workflows and mentoring junior analysts.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of proven experience in an analytically-driven role within the consumer lending, credit, or fintech industry
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages
- Deep expertise in data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling
- Experience applying machine learning techniques to business or risk management problems
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives that bridge Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering
- Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations, regional market dynamics, and the broader economic landscape
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory and economic insights into actionable strategies
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions
- Ability to work remotely (remote-first company)
- Ability to work out of assigned Affirm office occasionally (for proximal roles)
