Job Summary
Specify, develop, and design analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for next-generation cardiac rhythm management products, taking ownership from concept through production release. Define direction for circuit innovation by gathering and reducing requirements from product, systems, and test engineering teams. Foster collaboration across departments while coaching peers and less-experienced teammates. Create schematics and verification simulations within Cadence EDA tools, develop testbenches using Spectre and ADE, and integrate designs into mixed-signal modeling simulations. Direct IC layout activities, perform parasitic extraction, and conduct characterization tests using LabView and Python for automation. Execute concept, preliminary, and fracture reviews to ensure device quality and functional requirements. Work onsite four days a week in Mounds View, MN, contributing to therapies that restore health and extend life.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing and designing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing and designing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits with an advanced degree
- PhD with 0 years of experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
- Minimum of 4 days a week onsite
- This position will be based in Mounds View, MN
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Ultra-Low power and subthreshold design methodologies
- Thorough knowledge of semiconductor materials, devices, and fabrication
- Experience with high-voltage and switch-mode power electronic devices and applications
- Expertise in Cadence analog design tools
- Experience using Cadence EDA analog and mixed-signal tools
- A thorough knowledge of analog and mixed-signal IC design methodologies
- Demonstrated experience navigating multi-variable tradeoff considerations typical of analog designs with ability to coach others on the same
