Job Summary
Senior PSA Analyst to develop and apply advanced probabilistic safety assessment methodologies for existing, refurbishment and new-build CANDU nuclear plants. Responsibilities include hazard identification, Level 1/2/3 PSA, seismic, flood and fire safety assessments, failure mode and effects analysis, internal/external event analysis, and reliability assessments of safety systems and balance of plant. You will interact with clients, prepare/review proposals, develop risk monitors and risk assessments, coordinate detailed analysis phases, propose approaches for safety analysis tasks, supervise multidisciplinary teams, provide technical guidance and leadership, ensure QA compliance, and contribute to PSA training material. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical/technical PSA skills, familiarity with Canadian/US/IAEA standards, and experience with licensing activities and CAFTA/CFAST/RiskSpectrum tools.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree with honours (10+ years experience)
- Expertise in PSA methodologies and standards
- Knowledge of CANDU design and safety systems
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Strong communication skills in English (and preferably Spanish)
