Job Summary
Oversee daily practice operations at Prosperity Crossing and Reese locations, managing patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and clinical workflow from intake to discharge. Direct billing, collections, and budget processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Advocate Health policies. Collaborate with providers on performance analysis, EMR implementation, and quality initiatives to drive financial goals and patient satisfaction. Recruit qualified staff, assign duties based on competencies, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Perform Point-of-Care testing as assigned and maintain full competency in waived and non-waived procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and spoken communications skills in English
- Ability to communicate with individuals and groups effectively
- Critical thinking and ability to concentrate
- Ability to work with high volume of activities/projects with short deadlines
- Ability to deal with intense, emotionally charged issues
- Ability to work non-traditional hours (early mornings or late evenings and/or weekends)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis
- Relevant certifications (MGMA, ACHE or the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management)
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical practice (or completion of a practice manager training program)
- Experience managing the financials (billing, collection, etc.) in a medical facility environment
- Bilingual in other language/s based on working location and relevant patient population

- Bachelor's Degree
- Fluency in the EMR/Canopy
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and monitor utilization of the tool for improved preventive medicine and disease management practices
- Achievement of goals in Appropriate Care Measures of Quality and Meaningful Use of the EMR
- Experience recruiting qualified staff
- Experience providing regular performance feedback and evaluation
- Experience managing practice by improving utilization of resources and maintaining practice efficiency while seeking to minimize operational costs
- Experience managing billing, collections, and budget processes, including proactive cost containment activities
- Competency for Point-of-Care testing as assigned, waived and non-waived
