Job Summary
Coordinate RN schedules and oversee nursing coverage for procedures, non-invasive testing, triaging of clinical phone calls, biometric screenings, and vaccine visits. Evaluate and monitor staff competencies and performance while ensuring clinical compliance and tracking certifications. Provide staff educational in-services, including BLS instruction, and serve as a resource for nursing staff, medical assistants, and students. Collect patient healthcare data systematically, analyze assessments to determine diagnoses, and develop plans of care with providers to achieve expected outcomes. Educate patients and families on healthy adjustments to new health patterns while considering cultural needs. Participate in quality improvement programs, clinical inquiry, and evidence-based practice activities to foster patient and staff satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
- Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- 3 years nursing experience
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse License-NYS
- Basic Life Support Cert
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Emergency room or critical care nursing experience
- Membership in pertinent professional organizations
