Job Summary
Senior Amazon Connect Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise integrations for Amazon Connect and AWS-based contact center solutions. Responsibilities include building scalable APIs, designing DynamoDB schemas, developing Python-based Lambda functions, modifying Amazon Connect contact flows, and supporting event-driven architectures using AWS services. Works with UI teams and Amazon Professional Services to implement backend services and APIs, ensure secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions, and provide production support with occasional after-hours deployments. Requires 8+ years AWS experience, 4+ years Amazon Connect experience, strong Python and RESTful API design skills, and familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD. Remote-ready with a relocation program and a globally distributed, collaborative culture.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Connect (contact flows, routing, queues, integrations)
- Strong proficiency in Python, including AWS Lambda
- Experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch
- Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend integrations
- Strong knowledge of DynamoDB schema design, indexing, and performance optimization
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-native and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Strong communication skills and collaboration across engineering and business teams
- Experience in Agile development environments
- Nice to have: Terraform IaC, CloudFormation/CDK, IBM ODM
