Job Summary
Senior Amazon Connect Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integrations for Amazon Connect and AWS-based contact center solutions. Build scalable APIs, design DynamoDB data models, develop Python-based Lambda functions, and manage infrastructure with Terraform. Deliver secure, scalable, high-performance cloud solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and Amazon Professional Services. Responsibilities include designing RESTful APIs, optimizing DynamoDB schemas, implementing event-driven architectures using AWS services (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway), and supporting production deployment with after-hours as needed. Requires 8+ years AWS experience, 4+ years Amazon Connect experience, strong Python, deep AWS service knowledge (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch), and experience in RESTful APIs and backend integrations. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Connect (including contact flows, routing, queues, and integrations)
- Strong proficiency in Python (including development of AWS Lambda functions)
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch
- Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend integrations
- Strong knowledge of DynamoDB schema design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-native and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices
- Strong communication skills and experience in Agile development environments
