Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for complex optimization and machine learning problems while writing high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented production code. Collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate ideas into scalable software, prototyping and evaluating performance through experimentation. Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and best-practice initiatives while staying current with state-of-the-art algorithmic techniques. This role blends research thinking with strong software engineering practices to build high-performance, production-ready solutions for real-world, high-impact problems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience developing algorithms and production software
- Solid background in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity
- Experience with optimization, machine learning, or numerical methods
- Knowledge of linear algebra, graph theory, or combinatorial optimization
- Ability to read, understand, and implement research papers
- Experience delivering end-to-end software projects, from design to deployment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python; experience with C++ or similar languages is a plus
- Experience with optimization solvers or ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, NumPy)
- Exposure to hybrid or advanced computing paradigms
- Research or applied R&D background
