Job Summary
Senior Airspace Engineer to translate EL9 performance into Ultra Short operational capabilities, model capability across normal/degraded/contingency cases, derive candidate procedures for novel urban access points and existing airports, and review FAA/EASA/ICAO standards to identify gaps. The role includes authoring thought-leadership material, representing Electra in FAA/EASA/ICAO engagements, structuring flight demonstration programs, and providing regulatory subject-matter expertise to airports, infrastructure developers, and local authorities. Requires a Masters or PhD in aerospace-related field, and 5+ years in airspace management, policy, or procedure design. The position is based in Manassas, VA, USA, with in-person work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Masters/PhD degree in aerospace engineering, aviation management, airport planning, or related field
- 5+ years in airspace management related research, policy and regulatory development, airspace/procedure design, or similar domain
