Job Summary
Coordinate construction activity between airport operations and multiple projects by identifying work overlaps and recommending efficient packaging or procurement strategies. Extract look-ahead data on barricades and utility shutdowns to impact LAWA and tenant operations, then interface with technical experts to recommend timing. Review Area Shutdown Requests for adherence to standards and develop tracking tools to ensure accurate information flows among stakeholders. Attend daily project meetings, interpret schedules and Gantt charts, and produce monthly and yearly reports for executive management. Liaise with third-party entities to minimize construction-related impacts for passengers while preventing costly redesigns.
Required Qualifications
- 20 years or more experience
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, aviation, business, engineering, construction management, planning or other related technical field
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills
- ability to present concepts verbally
- Proven accuracy, reliability, priority setting, and completeness in job accomplishment
- Excellent written communication skills
- ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience
- Must be able to work under pressure on high-profile complicated assignments
- Ability to understand intent and process across various construction delivery methods

- Team player who demonstrates a willingness to learn
- Geared to share information and communicate with team members
- Ability to read design plans, maps and interpret construction language
- Knowledge of wayfinding concepts and mapping technologies
- Experience with technologies and best practices across multiple platforms

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- preferable on airport building programs or similar complex building programs
- Experience combining and formatting multiple digital file document types to clearly and concisely present compiled information
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite software (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using Bluebeam
- Relevant Professional Licensure and/or certifications
