Job Summary

Prepare proposals for air quality permitting and environmental support projects while managing tasks related to complex air quality permitting and compliance services. Assist clients in determining federal and state regulatory applicability, develop compliance strategies, and interface with State agencies and the EPA. Collaborate with internal and external teams to advocate for clients by informing them of regulatory changes, participate in public hearings, and calculate emissions. Perform and ensure QA/QC of technical work products, conduct environmental compliance audits, and mentor technical staff. Support business development through client engagement and author technical articles. Requires 10+ years of air permitting experience, Bachelor's degree in engineering, and 20% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of air permitting and compliance experience, preferably in Texas
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including technical writing, presentations, and direct client interaction
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and developing compliance strategies for State and Federal air quality regulations
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
  • Valid State driver's license
  • Experience with electric generation and/or cement manufacturing air permitting and regulatory programs (Texas preferred)
  • Familiarity with air dispersion modeling
