Senior Air Freight Manager, Taiwan

Job Summary
Set and implement the strategic roadmap for regional air freight, establishing financial targets and driving profitable growth through procurement, pricing, and business development. Own the country P&L, including gross revenue, COGS, and operating expenses, while managing vendor strategies, service level agreements, and rigorous performance management for airlines, handlers, and truckers. Lead a high-performing team across multiple locations, defining organizational structures, recruiting, and fostering engagement through frequent transformations. Partner with engineering and sales to build end-to-end service capabilities, identify product gaps, and formalize long-term procurement visions versus third-party forwarders. Establish executive-level relationships with regional airline contacts, monitor procurement costs against market trends, and drive pricing strategies with markup management for strategic accounts.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience at a freight forwarder, airline or in logistics operations
- Experience on procurement, and airline relationships out of the Taiwan market
- Hands on leader with experience managing and motivating large diverse team and implementing large scale organizational transformations
- Strategic thinker and very strong day to day implementer
- Deep freight forwarding market and freight forwarding operations expertise
- Previous experience in leadership role in freight forwarding operations
- Inclination to think-outside-the-box to always find a better solution or alternative, while remaining grounded in numbers and metrics
- Excel to manage vendor relations and create best-in-class, innovative structures to do so
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- A client service mindset; you are obsessed with client and squad happiness
