Job Summary
Define, build, and launch full-stack features using React, Node, Python, and tRPC for Kapwing's cloud-based video editor. Design and implement LLM-powered pipelines to automate visual design and video editing tasks while prototyping new generative models to refine prompts and improve performance. Test new features, monitor releases, and mitigate risks by investigating ML-powered APIs and building applications on top of them. Partner with product and growth teams to reach new creators and sell to creative enterprises. Execute quickly on MVPs to test product hypotheses, focusing on core products like Kapwing AI and Studio.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of production-level software engineering experience in a modern web stack
- 2+ years of experience building on top of LLMs
- Familiarity modifying files with LLM tool calling
- Comfortable with React, Redux, Typescript, Node, automated testing (i.e. Cypress, Jest) and tRPC APIs
- Experience prototyping and building new products from scratch
- Can evaluate, configure, and incorporate new web technology
- Must have the ability to put the product's needs first
- Work authorization in the USA for 4+ years without sponsorship
