Job Summary
Senior AI Engineer (Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst) at Citi to design and deploy autonomous AI agentic systems that solve complex, real-world problems in finance; translate research into production-grade agents; integrate LLMs, reinforcement learning, and predictive models; collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and product managers; produce clear technical documentation; hybrid work model with 3 days in office and 2 days remote from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; requires 6+ years in software development with AI/ML focus, strong Python/SQL, experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch and ML libraries, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or agent-based systems
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to build and maintain production-quality AI systems
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and libraries including Scikit-Learn, NumPy, and Pandas
- Practical knowledge of LLMs and their application within agentic architectures, including API design and integration for AI services
- Experience applying software engineering best practices: version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews
- Demonstrated ability to deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- Master’s degree preferred
