Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary
Design and build AI-powered IVR systems, virtual assistants, voicebots, and AI agents using Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and orchestration frameworks. Create and maintain integrations between AI platforms, contact centre technologies, enterprise systems, APIs, and AWS cloud services. Develop prompt engineering frameworks, templates, and guardrails while configuring conversational bots with intent modeling and slot management. Collaborate with technical teams to produce technical designs, documentation, and deployment procedures for scalable, secure, and efficient AI solutions. Ensure adherence to security, privacy, accessibility, and Responsible AI standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building AI/ML solutions
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications in enterprise environments
- Experience developing AI agents and implementing RAG architectures
- Experience working with modern foundation models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or similar)
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and optimizing AI technologies
- Experience with AI model monitoring, evaluation, and tuning
- Understanding of Responsible AI practices and governance
- 5+ years of experience implementing contact centre solutions
- Strong experience building conversational AI, IVR, and virtual assistants
- Experience designing conversational flows, routing logic, and customer journeys
- Knowledge of speech analytics, sentiment analysis, and customer interaction optimization
- Experience working with reporting, analytics, and operational metrics
- Experience designing and optimizing prompts for AI systems
- Experience implementing guardrails, safety controls, and response validation
- Experience working with AI orchestration, tool-calling, and integrations
- Experience integrating AI systems with enterprise applications and APIs
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM)
- Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with version control and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience building secure, scalable cloud-native applications
- 8+ years in software development and system integration
- Experience in API design, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong documentation and stakeholder collaboration experience
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of public sector methodologies, architecture frameworks, and standards
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- AI/ML solution development (5+ years)

Desired Qualifications
