Job Summary
Senior AI Engineer – Pro-Code & Agentic Solutions: Design, build and operate production-grade agentic and GenAI solutions on Microsoft AI Foundry, Azure and the Power Platform for a Zurich-based team in a regulated banking environment. Translate recurring business needs into reusable reference architectures and patterns, set the pro-code engineering standard, mentor colleagues across pro-code and low-code environments, and ensure governance, data classification, identity and responsible-AI guardrails are integrated into the platform. Responsibilities include taking GenAI/agentic systems from prototype to governed production services, building secure, scalable foundations, and driving self-service enablement to reduce manual support. Requirements include hands-on production experience with GenAI/agentic systems in regulated contexts, strong Python for AI, production software experience in C#/.NET or TypeScript, expertise with Microsoft AI Foundry and Azure AI services, familiarity with Fabric/Power Platform, and excellent English communication with German as an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience taking at least one agentic or GenAI system from prototype into production within a sensitive or regulated environment
- Strong pro-code engineering foundations, with proven proficiency in Python for AI and agent development
- Production software experience in at least one of C#/.NET or TypeScript
- Hands-on depth in Microsoft AI Foundry and Azure AI services — retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration, evaluation, and agent design patterns
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and the Power Platform (including Copilot Studio) is an advantage
- A first-principles approach to security, data boundaries, and architectural trade-offs
- A track record of mentoring or leading engineering standards
- Fluency in English; German is a strong advantage
