Job Summary
Senior/Principal AI Engineer to build production-grade LLM systems for healthcare applications, focusing on multi-agent coordination, RAG pipelines over clinical knowledge bases, model optimization, and real-time inference. Responsibilities include designing and shipping orchestration patterns, retrieval and grounding layers, improving model performance through fine-tuning and distillation, implementing safety systems and guardrails, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, clinical, and engineering teams to translate requirements into measurable, reliable systems. Tech focus includes Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, foundation models, real-time inference, HIPAA-compliant NLP pipelines, EHR integrations, and scalable infrastructure; opportunities may include voice/video interfaces, multilingual medical NLP, and regulated healthcare workflows.
Required Qualifications
- CS degree or equivalent demonstrated expertise
- Hard science degrees welcome with strong technical foundation
- 7+ years engineering experience with deep LLM / generative AI expertise
- Strong Python; experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow and modern AI frameworks
- Experience shipping production AI systems with real-time inference constraints
- Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model optimization for specialized domains
