Job Summary
Maintain configuration control documentation through contract review and blueprint/specification control while managing multiple customer accounts including OEMs and sub tiers. Collaborate with Engineering to submit waivers, concessions, and First Article Inspection Reports, and lead investigations into customer complaints and returns. Submit corrective actions to customers and internally, and perform specification reviews of industry standards and customer requirements. Participate in internal, external, and special process audits as a trained internal auditor, and work toward continual improvement projects. Achieve certification for customer source inspections and provide training or coaching as needed. Review purchase orders for customer-related items and act as an internal quality representative for both internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Quality Engineer or comparable quality discipline
- U.S. person status
- Full time position
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 and experience in casting industry preferred but not required
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basics of using networks and network folders
- Able to upload and download information from various customer websites
- Communicate effectively via direct interactions (in person, conference call, group meetings), as well as indirectly via email for example
- Write clear instructions for others to follow successfully
- Well organized and able to multi-task effectively as well as use other recourses to accomplish tasks
- Ability and willingness to work in a high-paced team-oriented environment
- Positive attitude, willingness to get the job done
- Read and understand blueprints, detailed customer specifications/requirements
- Work independently and be self-directed
