Job Summary
Senior Advocacy Coordinator provides operational and logistical support for in-district, state, and regional advocacy initiatives, collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure coordinated, effective advocacy efforts, and contributes to strategies that strengthen advocate capacity and impact. The role emphasizes coordination across departments (marketing, meetings services, facilities, digital) and requires ability to manage multiple projects, attention to detail, strong customer service, and stakeholder collaboration. The position is based in Washington DC with a hybrid work arrangement and entails minimal travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Communications, Political Science or related field
- Minimum of 1 year’s administrative, professional, or customer service experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or similar software
- Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet software applications to enter, compile, analyze, and retrieve data in a variety of reports
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to deliver when facing multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and recordkeeping
- Ability to work with general supervision as well as actively contribute to project teams
- Superior customer service skills through verbal and electronic correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization
- Project coordination or meeting management experience is preferred
- Experience in advocacy, policy or civic engagement is preferred
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required – up to 5%
- Location: Washington DC and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)
- Schedule: Occasional evening and weekend required
