Job Summary
Senior Advisor, Governance and Programmes responsible for shaping and delivering the governance, systems and processes of the new teaching standards function within the Education sector. The role involves designing and supporting governance structures, programme structures and ways of working, identifying risks and issues, and providing analysis and advice to enable sound decisions. Responsibilities include supporting procurement, financial processes and contract management, maintaining key documentation and risk registers, and establishing scalable systems to support long-term success. The role is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position based in Wellington, with salary range $100,296 - $121,490 per annum plus KiwiSaver. The ideal candidate will have experience in programme, project or operational support within complex environments, preferably in regulatory, education or wider public sector settings, and will demonstrate strong governance delivery, cross-system collaboration, and a commitment to Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
