Job Summary
Design and deliver evaluation approaches, applying qualitative and quantitative analysis to translate complex evidence into practical insights for health, social services, and education sectors. Lead high-impact evaluation and systems-learning initiatives across the Workforce Innovation and Development Institute and PSI, building evaluation capability while identifying partnered and revenue-generating opportunities. Manage research projects utilizing frameworks like Program Logic and Theory of Change, producing high-quality reports for diverse internal and external stakeholders. Connect the social services sector with RMIT's education and research capabilities to inform public policy and improve community outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of the policy landscape for the social service and education sectors
- Ability to develop evaluations and insights based on data, research, and evidence
- Previous experience developing partnered proposals and business development opportunities with an emphasis on monitoring, evaluation and/or learning
- Previous experience in managing research and evaluation projects
- Demonstrated understanding of the development and application of Program Logic and Theory of Change frameworks
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience producing high quality reports for a variety of audiences in a variety of formats
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Significant experience providing expert advice and recommendations to ensure that project objectives are met
- Experience ensuring that project outputs are produced to a high standard

- Multi-tasking skills
- Experience with ethics applications where appropriate and relevant
- Highly developed skills in the use of information and communication technologies
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis using relevant software packages (NVIVO, SPSS, STATA, Tableau, Qualtrics and Miro)
- Graduate or research qualifications in social sciences, psychology, or a related field
- Passing a Working with Children and National Police Check

- Salary HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation

- Ability to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

- Help shape how evidence is generated, understood and applied to strengthen programs, inform public policy and improve outcomes across the health, social services and education sectors
