Job Summary
Senior Advisor, Community and Network Planning role focused on developing and implementing Alto’s proximity standards and guidelines for land use compatibility near railway infrastructure; collaborate with planning authorities to ensure urban, mobility, and regulatory plans support safe integration near the rail right-of-way; review development projects with technical analysis and form requirements; engage road authorities, public property owners, and support Real Property acquisition efforts; requires Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in related fields, plus bilingual fluency and strong communication skills, with a hybrid work arrangement in Montreal or Ottawa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, civil engineering, environmental studies, real estate, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the railway sector, project management, the public sector, or consulting
- Fluency in both of Canada’s official languages
- Ability to learn technical concepts (acoustics, rail safety, stormwater management, etc.) and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with GIS and geospatial tools is considered an asset
