Job Summary
Lead the enterprise Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) Program by managing governance, oversight, and risk assessments for gifts, third-party risk, and hiring practices involving public officials. Draft policies, monitor regulatory developments, and advise business partners on complex bribery risks while translating enterprise expectations into practical guidance. Conduct periodic reviews, develop metrics to assess program effectiveness, and support compliance testing, remediation, and regulatory initiatives. Design and deliver targeted ethics training, build analytics requirements for decision-making, and maintain strong relationships with global and local partners to ensure alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 7 or more years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, risk, or a similar senior advisory role
- demonstrated experience translating regulatory or policy expectations into practical outcomes
- post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide independent, risk-based advice and influence outcomes at senior levels
- Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong written, verbal, executive-level communication, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity, multiple priorities, and complex stakeholder relationships while operating independently and collaborating effectively across teams
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation, regulatory expectations, and industry practices
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Copilot
- Strong knowledge of BMO products, services, and operating groups
