Senior Advanced Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Lead quality initiatives for New Product Introduction (NPI) and new parts, ensuring sustainable long-term factory success through independent problem-solving and project management. Develop robust qualification plans for new equipment, manage supplier interactions, and lead cross-functional teams including AMEs, design engineers, and plant quality engineers. Drive COQ improvements by analyzing scrap, yield, and concession data, while implementing digital footprints, poke-yoke solutions, and standard work job instructions. Execute drive/strip/torque studies, lead PFMEA's, and ensure all ISO-compliant QMS documentation meets specifications. Support CIB site changes and PPAP processes for in-house manufactured parts, utilizing GEA's 9-step process to integrate quality early in design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Technical field
- Leadership and effective communication experience in the definition, design, implementation and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes
- Self-starter and influencer – metric driven and willing to work with cross-functional teams and hourly workforce
- Excellent project tracking and detailed planning skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Influencer and team player – drive quality metrics but willing to look at the bigger picture
- Good communicator – data driven, makes decisions based on the data
- Speaks up in meetings along with leading meetings with a strong passion for world class quality
- Experience interpreting data to solve manufacturing problems
- 5-years of experience
- Knowledge of AP1 top load washer lines (7, 8, and 9), equipment, and systems
- Ability to Kaizen and Yokoten factory processes to improve COQ outcomes, OEE, AY, etc. inside and outside of NPI
- 70% office leading meetings / scoping / planning / etc.
- 30% factory environment understanding the people / processes / troubleshooting / coordinating part qualifications / etc.
- First shift hours
- occasional weekends and off-shift hours may be necessary
- <20% travel
- Travel is typically minimal but could have some periods of heavy travel for equipment run-offs and qualification
- Rental car, gas, hotel room, and meal are paid for by GE Appliances when traveling with a company provided T&L card

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with injection molding processes
- Capability using, programming, and interpreting CMM and 3D scanning
- Significant experience in high volume manufacturing operations
- Skilled using Polyworks
- Proficient understanding and the ability to interpret GD&T MBDs/drawings
