Job Summary
Lead projects analyzing, developing, and validating manufacturing processes for production facilities, overseeing equipment and process definition for specified business segments. Define, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency while devising and assembling new mechanical components. Communicate with vendors and customers to determine product specifications, generate modified drawings using Autodesk products, and develop standard operation procedures. Oversee capital budgeting, manage projects from start to finish, and mentor less experienced engineering staff. Maintain a safe working environment by defining safety checklists and Lock out Tag out protocols for new equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (B.S) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' combined experience working in the fields of Process Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Management, and/or Operations Management
- Working knowledge of all shop equipment including but not limited to lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, saws, and welders
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Working knowledge of servo motors/drives, and AC/DC VFD's
- Proficient in MS Office applications, Autodesk Auto CAD, Inventor for 3D design and modeling
- Statistical process control methodology
- Ability to collect and analyze data, define areas of opportunities, and implement appropriate counter measures
- Overseer of equipment design, build, installations, and startup
- Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic design, troubleshooting and repair
- Automation Controls
